On my first visit to Mauritius, I donated football boots and balls with whatever resources I had available. When I returned, I came prepared. Working with local youth players, I personally donated approximately 30 pairs of football boots, 15 professional-quality footballs, and 50 sandwiches to support around 25 children.
The footballs these kids were using weren't just worn out—they were poor quality from day one. These kids deserved better. Along with the donations, I helped enhance the Blue Shark Mahébourg FC logo. Seeing the children's excitement reminded me why BADL gives back. Sometimes all it takes is one opportunity to show a child what's possible.
